PURPOSE:To clock the operating time of an internal combustion engine correctly in an internal combustion engine operating time clocking device used for a ship propulsion machine or the like by providing an hour meter for accumulating the current applied time of a generating coil interlocked with engine operation. CONSTITUTION:An operating time clocking device 30 relative to an ignition magnet 23 fixed at a flywheel 20 is fitted at the crankcase 13 of an internal combustion engine 10. This clocking device 30, formed of a generating coil 34, an hour meter driving circuit 35 and an hour meter 36 all built therein, generates electromotive force from the generating coil 34 by the change of the magnetic field of the magnet 23 rotated interlockingly with the operation of the engine and accumulates the current applied time for the generation of this electromotive force by the hour meter 36. At this time, the electromotive force of the generating coil 34 is converted by the hour meter driving circuit 35 into the state suitable to the input demand characteristics (the characteristics of voltage, current, and the like) of the hour meter 36. |
