PURPOSE:To enable a person who is not skilled in performance to perform legato play by varying the extent of musical sound control based upon a key touch according to whether there is another key being pressed when one key is turned on. CONSTITUTION:A switch group 2 including a timbre selection switch, a display device 2, and a sound system 24 including a speaker are provided at an external surface part in addition to a keyboard 1. A CPU 10 controls the operations of the respective parts and a memory and respective operation parts are connected to the CPU 10 through a bus 11. The display device 2, a key depression detecting circuit 13, switch interface 14, sound source circuit 15, ROM 17, and a RAM 18 are connected to the bus 11. Then when a new key is depressed, a decision means decides whether or not there is another key being depressed and a switching means switches touch response sensitivity regarding the new key according to the decision result of the decision means. Consequently, even the person who is not skilled in performance so much can perform legato play. |
