HIGHLY EFFICIENT DESULFURIZATION AND DENITRATION IN FLUIDIZED BED BOILER

PURPOSE:To simultaneously reduce the concn. of NOx and that of SO2 to specific concn. or less by adding urea or its derivative to the firing furnace of a fluidized bed boiler. CONSTITUTION:Urea or its derivative is added to the firing furnace of a fluid ized bed boiler 5 in a powder or solution form from a urea feeder 17 not only to enhance the desurfurizing capacity of a Ca type desurfirizing agent (e.g. limestone) but also to promote the generation suppressing action of NOx by fluidized bed combustion. As a result, the concn. of NOx and that of SO2 can be simultaneously reduced to 100ppm or less.
