Frequency compensation for long HF cables - separates feed signal source from pilot amplifier in short time intervals

The compensation is for reception aerials with pilot amplifiers, e.g. for analog on digital signal processing. The feed signal source (1) is separated in short time intervals from the pilot amplifier (2) with the separated source, a calibrating signal is fed to the pilot amplifier and is tuned at constant level with the respective reception frequency. - The calibration signal feed is carried out at the same attenuation losses as occur on the reception cable (3). The losses on the reception and calibration signal cables are kept constant by energising integrated, variable attenuation members (4, 8) for different reception frequencies for both cables.
