Anti-vibration device is fitted to the shaft in the top arm of a sewing machine, between drive pulley and the needlebar crank. Pref. the machine has the shaft in the top arm driven by a motor and belt, to the drive. The shaft is mounted in suitable bearings, and is connected by a toothed belt to a drive shaft in the base of the machine, from the pulley, which is fixed to the bearing tube by a setscrew. A hard rubber core, set between metal plates are fixed to the side of the pulley by screw. Then a collar section, with setscrews retain it to the shaft. At the end of the shaft is the crank to drive the needlebar. USE - To reduce noise and oscillatory wear on the sewing machine.
