Miniature electrolytic pot capacitor - has capacitive winding connected to rivet and pot housing at opposite ends

The electrolytic pot capacitor has a metal pot housing (2) sealed by a rivet (3), with an insulating resilient seal (4) between the rivet head (5) and the pot housing (6). The latter contains a capacitive winding (16) coupled to the rivet shaft at one end and to the pot housing (2) at the other. A rigid ring (8) holds the seal (4) against the rivet (3) before closure of the pot housing with a terminal tag (7) clamped between into outer periphery and the inside top edge of the housing sidewall (10). USE - Capacitor dia. of between 2 and 5 mm.
