PURPOSE:To continuously dry a honeycomb structure by arranging the honeycomb structure between a pair of endless belts arranged up and down in parallel and moved in mutually opposite directions and blowing hot air between the belts in the direction right-angled to the longitudinal direction of the belts. CONSTITUTION:A pair of endless bells 10, 12 moved in mutually opposite directions are arranged up and down in parallel. A cylindrical honeycomb structure 28 having a large number of cells therein is arranged between a pair of the endless belts 10, 12 to be moved in a horizontally fallen state. The honeycomb structure 28 is supported by a pair of the endless belts so that the longitudinal direction thereof becomes right-angled to that of the endless belts 10, 12. Hot air is blown to the honeycomb structure 28 from the end part thereof during movement by a hot air blow-off device 14 to continuously dry the honeycomb structure 28. |
