The anchoring device is for vessels. It includes a ship's outrigger, guiding a wire or cable which is secured to a buoy with top mounted turntable. Vessel, e.g. tanker (2) is via hawser (4) moored to turn cable (6) of buoy (8). Tanker has outrigger (14) with supports (12). Outrigger has at one end (22) is fixed to bracket (24) on buoy (9). Cable end (26) is fixed to a tensioning device, e.g. spring or winch (28). Outrigger end (16) is positioned above the buoy to take up any downward forces. |
