<p>PURPOSE:To surely perform an optimum tracking control by performing a drive control on a recording system in order to minimize a variable amt. of an amplitude level of a low band carrier component of a regenerative signal and maximize the amplitude level of the regenerative signal. CONSTITUTION:A regenerative signal S of a magnetic tape 10 is detected in its envelope by a 1st envelope detecting circuit 12 to detect an amplitude level v1. This level v1 is outputted via an A/D converter 13 to control part 14. At the same time, the regenerative signal is led to a band filter 15, and its low band carrier component of a small azimuth loss and a large cross talk amt. is extracted and outputted to a 2nd envelope detecting circuit 16. The low band carrier component is detected in the envelope by the circuit 16 to detect an amplitude level v2 and to output via an A/D converter 17 to a level variation detector 18 and a divide circuit 19. A variable level v3 of a ratio of interference with a signal from a main track is detected by the circuit 18 while v3/v2 is outputted by the circuit 19 to the control part 14. It is controlled by the control part 14 that the variable ratio v3/v2 is minimized and v1 is maximized.</p> |
