A coffee infusion filter (100) for preparing cup-sized portions of filter coffee comprises a shaped body (10) in the form of a hollow cylindrical body (11) made from a filter paper which possesses adequate inherent stiffness and dimensional stability when wet. The shaped body (10) has a filling opening (15) for the introduction of boiling water, and the interior of the shaped body (10) is divided into a plurality of superimposed chambers (30, 130, 230). The upper chamber (30), which receives the boiling water, opens into the filling opening (15) for the water. A portion (40) of ground filter coffee sufficient for one cup is placed on the lower partition (120). The filter coffee flows away through the lower chamber (230). To infuse a cup of filter coffee, the coffee infusion filter (100) is placed in a coffee cup and boiling water is poured through the filling opening (15) of the shaped body (10). During infusion, the coffee infusion filter (100) does not float as the level of filter coffee rises inside the filter coffee filter (100). |
