The drying plant comprises a prodn. unit for the material to be dried, and a drying device by means of a hot gas current. The latter device is formed by a rise pipe drier (1), to the lower end of which is fitted a striker mechanism (2) connected to a hot gas source (3). The material prodn. unit is connected to the upper end (1a) of the rise pipe drier (1) in such a way that the formed material, immediately after prodn., enter the gas current rising in the rise pipe drier loaded with reduced material, and then in the counter flow to the gas current to the striker mechanism (2). A separator (4) is connected to the upper area of the rise pipe drier (1), the output conduit (5) of which is connected to the prodn. unit. USE - For drying thixotropic material.
