The cleaning apparatus has a body supporting the cleaning element and fitted with a hollow handle wherein a duct leads from the hollow handle through the body to the cleaning element and contains a shut-off member. The hollow handle (10) contains a supply container (16) for a cleaning fluid closable by a lid (18). The shut-off member is a dosing device such as a dosing slider set displaceable across the axis of the handle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact unit for cleaning vehicles.
