<p>The invention relates to a support provided with a wooden underframe which can be produced in a simple and inexpensive manner but which has a high degree of rigidity. The underframe (3) is composed of three legs (4, 5, 6) which are crossed and assembled in a central zone and of which the upper ends (4', 5', 6') are fastened to a seating element (1) of the support. The legs are provided with lateral notches permitting their mutual assembly by nesting. Each leg may be fastened to the seating element (1) by means of a single screw, so that the underframe can be removed and so that the support may be constructed by an unskilled person.
