A widthwise bend of an end of a hot-rolled elongate sheet-shaped metal product (1) is corrected while it is hot. The correction comprises simultaneously: (i) holding the edges of the product (1) at at least two positions (12,13) longitudinally spaced along the product thereby to hold, at least laterally, a portion spaced from the bent end, and (ii)pushing the end portion laterally by means of a laterally moving member (14). The method may be performed while the product is continuously moving along a path. Both steps (i) and (ii) are performed by rollers rotatable about vertical axes. e
