In order to overcome the nausea in mouth-to-mouth resuscitation of the unconscious and in order to prevent mutual infection with contagious diseases, the tube consists of a curved attachment (A) which is strengthened against being bitten through and which prevents the tongue of the injured person from falling back and blocking the windpipe. A cover plate (B) closes off the mouth of the recipient and at the same time prevents direct mouth to mouth contact. On the donor side, a standardised cone (C) allows the mouthpiece (D) or respiration bag to be adapted to any desired position. Welded into the mouthpiece (D) is a hydrophobic filter (F) which, while allowing the respiratory air to pass through unimpeded, holds back blood and saliva on both sides during mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. |
