MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY AGAINST TOBACCO NECROSIS VIRUS, ITS PRODUCTION AND DIAGNOSTIC FOR DETECTING TOBACCO NECROSIS VIRUS

摘要

PURPOSE:To increase the variety of monoclonal antibodies effective against plant virus by developing a process for the production of monoclonal antibody against tobacco necrosis virus. CONSTITUTION:An animal is immunized with tobacco necrosis virus (TNV) and a fused cell (hybridoma) is produced from an antibody-producing cell of the animal and a tumor cell. The fused cell is proliferated and a cell capable of producing an antibody having specificity to TNV is selected from the proliferated fused cells. The selected antibody-producing cell is cultured to obtain the objective monoclonal antibody against TNV. The monoclonal antibody is used in the preparation of a diagnostic for the detection of TNV.
