PURPOSE:To enable automatic baking of a spherical cake free from burr and joint and containing an ingredient at the center by baking a cake material in a mold, inverting the material under baking and putting the material to an additional dough which is being baked in the other mold in the form of sphere. CONSTITUTION:The present process uses a pair of cake-baking molds 6, 7 (A, B) having cavities, 6a, 7a deeper than hemispherical shape. A lower dough 2 and an ingredient 3 are put into the mold A, covered with an upper dough 4 and heated. An additional dough 9 is put into the other mold B and heated. When the circumferential part of the upper dough 4 in the mold A is partly baked and the central part of the dough is still in unbaked state, the mold A is turned upside down around a hinge 8 and placed on the mold B. The cake material being baked in the mold A is dropped in inverted state on to the additional dough 9 being baked in the mold B and the upper dough 4 is contacted and fused to the additional dough 9. The integrated dough is further heated and baked to obtain a spherical cake. |
