<p>PURPOSE:To produce a glue pigment useful as a dye, etc., in high efficiency at a low cost, by carrying out the tissue culture of lavender cell in two steps using two kinds of Murashige and Skoog media having different total nitrogen amounts as standard media. CONSTITUTION:The 1st stage tissue culture of a lavender cell is carried out by using a standard Murashige and Skoog medium containing a nitrogen source having a relative molar concentration ratio of ammonia nitrogen to nitrate nitrogen of 0.11-0.4 and the total nitrogen content of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen of 40-72.5mM. The lavender cell proliferated by the 1st stage culture is subjected to the 2nd stage tissue culture in a standard Murashige and Skoog medium containing a nitrogen source having a total nitrogen content of ammonia nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen of <=40mM. The objective pigment can be produced in high efficiency by this process.</p> |
