The invention relates to a device for localised reheating of metallurgical products moving past, which is intended to be implanted in the floor of a furnace for reheating said products, characterised in that it comprises at least one electric resistance heater (10) placed in a housing (14) arranged in the floor, and a protection plate (7) made of an oxidation-resistant heat-conducting material, and in that said plate closes said housing (14) in its upper part and has a free upper surface (18) which is not covered by the floor and is arranged at a small distance from or in contact with the parts of the product (1') which have to be reheated.
