PURPOSE:To efficiently treat colored water at a low cost and to obtain satisfactory treated water by bringing the colored water into contact with Basidiomycetes belonging to Acremonium in the presence of monosaccharides under aerobic conditions and carrying out adsorption with an activated carbon. CONSTITUTION:Colored water is brought into contact with Basidiomycetes belonging to Acremonium in the presence of monosaccharides under aerobic conditions to convert high molecular coloring components into low molecular substances easily adsorbable on an activated carbon and then adsorption operation with the activated carbon is carried out. By the combination of microbial treatment with treatment with the activated carbon, the coloring components can efficiently be removed. |
