<p>A method for channeling gases in a lined container includes the steps of providing a container having an outer shell comprising a substantially rigid bottom, side and end walls, the walls defining a cavity with interior surfaces and an upper rim, and a thermoplastic liner covering the interior surfaces of the cavity; and providing a fluted profile on the interior surface of the bottom wall of the outer shell, in communication with the thermoplastic liner.
