PURPOSE:To obtain a solid polyelectrolyte having excellent mechanical properties and a high ionic conductivity by selecting a polymer which has a specific crosslinked network structure and contains an ionic salt. CONSTITUTION:A di(meth)acrylate of a block copolymer of ethylene oxide with methylene oxide (contg. 30mol% or lower methylene oxide units and having a mol.wt. of 2000-30000) is mixed with a mono(meth)acrylate of a polyether (e.g. a polyethylene glycol); the mixture is heated or irradiated with active rays or an ionizing radiation to conduct crosslinking; and the crosslinked product having a network structure is treated with a soln. of lithium perchlorate, etc., to cause the product to contain an ionic salt. Thus, a solid polyelectrolyte, useful for a primary battery, secondary battery, electrochromic display, electrochemical sensor, etc., is obtd. |
