NEW MATERIAL:A compound obtained by cultivation of Streptomyces neyagawaensis and having >=10<6> average molecular weight. USE:A drug enhancing anti-cancer action of pleomycin-group antibiotics. PREPARATION:At first, Streptomyces nayagawaensis No.1478 strain (FERM P-10961) is cultured in a culturing condition for normal streptomyces and fungus cell is removed from the cultured solution by a means such as centrifuge. Next, resultant cultured and filtered solution is treated of salting-out, etc., to selectively precipitate polymeric substance and said polymeric substance is subjected to cation-exchange resin column chromatography for polymer, gel-filtration chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography, in turn, to purify. |
