Sloping roof with sound attenuating box - has box fitted between roof rafter cover and roof tiles

Sound attenuating box dampers environmental noise, thus creating a quiet atmosphere e.g. in a living room. Box top surface blends in with roof tiles. Rafters (1) are covered with battens (2) and tile battens (3). One of the tiles (4) has an aperture for pipe section (5) integral with the box which has a curved cover (11). Bottom rim of pipe section (10) is fitted with a slab of thick insulating foil material. This prevents rain from entering bed when pipe section (10) and aperturee in tile.
