PURPOSE: To obtain a pharmaceutical preparation, comprising a 6-substituted 2',3'-dideoxynucleotide or its derivative and useful for treating or preventing hepatitis B. CONSTITUTION: This nucleoside therapeutic agent comprises a compound represented by the formula (R1 and R3 are each H or amino; R2 is a halogen, a 1-6C alkoxy, a 3-8C cycloalkyl, allyloxy, an aralkylthio, an alkylthio, a heterocyclic ring having one 0 atom, 1-3N atoms and 3-7C atoms, imidazolylthio, amino, etc.) or a derivative of the compound represented by the formula except R1 and R3 are each H and R2 is OCH3 or SCH3 , e.g. 2- amino-6-(cyclopropylmethylamino)purine-9-β-D-2',3'-dideoxyribofuranoside (new substance) as an active ingredient. The daily dose of the compound represented by the formula is 3.0-0.120mg, especially 15-60mg and some of the compound represented by the reaction is effective even against the infection with a human immunodeficiency virus. |
