Method for transporting two or more containers on a vehicle, in which means are connected to the containers in order to support the containers with respect to the ground, in such a manner that the vehicle can be driven out from beneath the containers and, in the other direction, can be driven in beneath the containers, after which the containers can be placed back on the vehicle. Legs which can be connected to the means which are arranged on the containers as standard and which may optionally be of adjustable height can be used to temporarily support the containers.
