<p>PURPOSE:To accelerate processing by computing color coordinate transformation processing from three primary color data to luminance/color difference data with a matrix computing element. CONSTITUTION:The above device is equipped with the matrix computing element 11 which inputs digital data and performs the matrix computation on the data, a coefficient setting means 12 which sets the coefficient of matrix required for the computation of the matrix computing element 11, and a picture element data input means 13 which inputs the three primary colors of plural picture elements i.e., image data of R, G, and B. Then, the color coordinate transformation processing from the data of three primary colors to the luminance/color difference data is computed with the matrix computing element 11. Thereby, it is possible to perform color coordinate transformation and the subsampling of the color difference data for one time of computation simultaneously, which accelerates the processing. Also, the mean value of the picture element targeted to be processed can be used as the subsampling of the color difference data.</p> |
