The object of the invention is a suspension device provided with a conical wedge locking for application in a steel wire 8 or the like, which includes grips 4 formed from a truncated conical segment which are pressed against wire 8 by means of the internal conical sleeve 2 that surrounds the segment and in which a spring device 6 is applied between them to produce a first gripping and the hook 14 is fixed to the interior conical sleeve 2, whereby gripping of the grips 4 is intended to be produced by pulling the inner conical sleeve downward in order to force grips 4 to move toward each other. According to the invention the suspension device includes an openable sleeve 3 that is provided with a closure piece 11 that pertains to the top of the grips 4, in which by forcing the openable sleeve 3 toward the hook 14 the grips 4 are made to loosen from wire 8. <IMAGE>
