The intermediary place is applied in communications equipment, for example in the exploitation of quasi-electronic and other telephone exchanges and has enhanced functional capabilities. It consists of N blocs for incoming/outgoing connection (1), a transit link bloc (2), K (K > 2) working places for the telephone operator (3), receivers serving as criterion for the condition of the built connection (4), a phone conversation (5), a busy subscriber (6), a non-responding subscriber (7) and registration blocs (8), a command bloc (9), K blocs for management of the working slots of the telephone operator (10) and M blocs for orders (11). Each working place of the telephone operator (3) contains receivers for call pressure (12) and for tonal pressure (13) and a bloc for test dialling of a number and an indication of its (14).
