PURPOSE:To accurately attain charging management to communication without rapid decrease in the processing capability of the entire system even when the system is complicated by providing a charging management means on a gateway device interposed between a host computer and a network. CONSTITUTION:A gateway device 4 is interposed between a network 1 and a host 5 and between the network 1 and each terminal equipment 6 respectively to attain data communication with the host 5 and the terminal equipment 6 with a different communication protocol. A charging management section 1 is provided on the gateway device 4 interposed between the host 5 and the network 1 and generates and stores the charging information to the communication using the network 1. Thus, the charging management is implemented without increasing the processing load of the host and even when the system is complicated, the charging management to the communication is properly implemented without rapid decrease in the processing capability of the entire system.
