A terminal suitable for a dry rectifier comprises a connecting part 2b for the external circuit, a contact part 2c for engaging the lower face of a stack of rectifier elements 3, and an arcuate part 2a joining the parts 2b, 2c for cooperation with an arcuate part 1a in an aperture in an insulating frame 1, the co-operation between 1a, 2a ensuring that external forcer on the parts 2b are not effectively communicated to the parts 2c. As shown, two stacks of elements 3, 4, each having a terminal as described, are located in the frame 1 and their upper surfaces are bridged by a spring plate 7 having a projection 7a engaging a recess 1b in the frame. The assembly is completed by top and bottom insulating plates 8, 5, a cover 9, and a sheet metal member 6 whose wings are bent over the assembled parts to secure them, Fig. 2.
