The apparatus for manufacturing a cable trees (10) comprises a taking up board (1) and assisting means (7) such as sockets or clips, which hold the cable during assembly of the tree. On the front of the board is a dispensing plate (2) which moves to draw the cable tree away from the taking up board. The assisting means can be fixed to the board through an extractor in the dispensing plate. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prepared cable can be easily removed without needing to remove holding clips.
