The solar energy collector panel has a frame made from an aluminium 'U'-section (2). The flanges of the 'U'-section (2) face inwards and one of the flanges (10) forms a support for a thermal insulation panel (12, 16). This frame supports the tubes through which the heat absorbing medium circulates. The other flange (24) of the 'U'-section has a groove (28) which receives one flange (32) of an angle section (30) made of a material with poor thermal conductivity. The lower edge of the vertical flange (34) of this angle section (30) abuts against the thermal insulation panel (16) and holds it in place. USE - Solar energy collector panels.
