PURPOSE:To facilitate the input operation of the graphics constituted of lines having a width by providing a graphic data converter which converts the information on a line to the information to indicate a center and stores the same in a memory device when the assignment to indicate the boundary is made from a mode assigning device. CONSTITUTION:A mode to indicate the center and a mode to indicate the boundary are selected by the mode assigning device 8. The inputted information on the line is stored in a memory device 6 as the information to indicate the center of the contour line of the graphics in the same manner as with the conventional devices if the mode to indicate the center is selected. On the other hand, the inputted information on the boundary is converted to the information to indicate the point on the contour line on the boundary of the contour boundary by the graphic data converter 9 and is stored in the memory device 6 when the mode to indicate the boundary line is selected. An operator is able to make inputting with the inside measurement sizes and outside dimensions of the graphic. The easy inputting is thus possible.
