PURPOSE:To improve the continuity of a picture at a part, where pictures are linked, by recording information concerning the operating state of a camera. CONSTITUTION:In a process to convert received light to an electric signal by an image pickup element 353 and to output the signal as a video signal, information concerning exposure are inputted from an exposure control circuit 355, information concerning white balance are inputted from a signal processing encoder circuit 354 and information concerning focus, zoom and electronic shutter are inputted from a camera controller 362 respectively. Then, camera information are formed by a camera information processing part 360. These camera information showing the operating state of the camera at the time of photographing are recorded to the position corresponding to the recording track of the picture. Thus, when the already recorded video signal is photographed, the operating state of the camera can be reproduced and the continuity at the linked part can be improved.
