PURPOSE:To ready check inhibit a printer body and the peripheral device at the same time by installing a means which ignores the detection of anomaly even if the anomaly different from the ordinary operation state is detected, either in an image output device body or the peripheral device. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit 1 for a printer body 11, control circuit 2 for the peripheral device 31 such as sorter, controller 3 which instructs of ignoring the 'ready check inhibition' of the printer and the peripheral device, communication line 4 for transmitting the 'ready check inhibition' instructed from the controller 3 to the printer 11, and a signal line 5 for transmitting the 'ready check inhibition' to the peripheral device 31 are provided. When it is detected that the printer body 11 is in the 'ready check inhibition', also the peripheral device 31 itself 'ready check inhibits'. Accordingly, when the printer 11 is 'ready check inhibited', the heat run without setting paper in the state where the peripheral device is connected and the operation check without detecting jam can be carried out. |
