PURPOSE:To recover developer already used, to prevent pollusion caused by burying it underground and to make effective use of resource by bringing the developer into contact with liquid. CONSTITUTION:The developer 1 already used is thrown in a cleaning tank 4 which is constituted of washing liquid 2 and a carrier conveying body 3. The material of the washing liquid is selected corresponding to the resin compo nent of toner and has solubility. The carrier conveying body 3 has such function that it conveys carrier to a carrier exit 7 while the carrier is brought into contact with the liquid 2 and conveys it out to the outside of the tank 4. Since the developer already used is recovered, it can be reused. Then, the pollusion caused by burying and casting away the toner and the carrier which are not dissolved in soil underground is prevented and the effective use of the resource is made possible. |
