The wave-dissipating caisson comprises a box-shaped skeleton made up merely of ridge members. Two winged bodies each has two trapezoidal wing pieces with bases separated from each other and top sides oined to each other. These are turned around the axis to for an angle of 90 degrees relative to each other. Each base of the trapezoidal wing pieces are secured to the columns or crosspieces of the skeleton.
