<p>The damping system uses shock absorbers each comprising a pneumatic or hydraulic cylinder (6) and a sliding piston (14). The damping characteristics are varied via an adjustable throttle point (31) which is controlled in dependence on the temp. A temp.-dependent parameter of the electrically coupled damping system components (32,37...42,108,116,119) is used as the reference value for controlling the throttle point (31). Pref. a magnetic coil (32) is used for adjusting the throttle point (31).</p>
