<p>The novel pen body construction (10) described herein includes multiple ink storage compartments (12,14,16) communicating with a multi-orifice printhead (28), and these compartments (12,14,16) are adapted to receive sections (42,44,46) of ink-storage foam. Preferably, this foam is a reticulated polyurethane foam of controlled porosity and capalarity and is especially well suited for storing different ink colors, such as cyan, magenta and yellow.
