A slip for the production of green ceramic sheets contains a volatile organic solvent, polyvinyl butyral, plasticisers, dispersants and a ceramic powder such as, for example, Al2O3. The polyvinyl butyral used contains at most 18 % by weight of vinyl alcohol units and preferably has a mean molecular weight of between 40,000 and 120,000. A constant and small shrinkage results on sinter-firing. |
