The hydropneumatic spring system with tilt balance is for a vehicle. It has two piston-cylinder units (1, 2), each with a piston (4) in a cylinder (3) subject on both sides to a hydraulic medium. The piston surfaces comprise a face surface (10) and a smaller annular surface (13). The piston-cylinder units are so arranged that the pressure chambers (11, 12) are at times connected to a reservoir (20) filled with a compressible medium. USE/ADVANTAGE - Hydropneumatic suspension which automatically stabilises the vehicle to match prevailing road conditions.
