<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate influence upon cells which need to be immediate and to remove the restriction that all lines of a multiple address communication are equal in logical channel number by sending data without giving priority to cells for the multiple address communication. CONSTITUTION:An outgoing line interface 4b which receives a cell 6b converts its header to send a cell 6c to an outgoing line 5b and also converts the header into a header for transfer to an outgoing line interface 4c to transfer a cell 6d to a self-routing switch 3a. The self-routing switch 3a analyzes the header of the cell 6d and transfers it to the outgoing line interface 4c, which receives the cell 6d and converts the header to send a cell 6e to an outgoing line 5c. Thus, the cell 6a of an incoming line 1a is broadcast to the outgoing lines 5b and 5c. Consequently, the freedom of the selection of multiple address commu nication timing is widened and the influence upon a data communication which needs to be immediate is reduced by the multiple address communication as much as possible.</p> |
