PURPOSE:To easily check the normality of a machine check device on a virtual space by executing scan-in after arbitrary time elapses in SVP corresponding to the issuing of a scan-in instruction and checking the normality of the machine check device. CONSTITUTION:The scan-in instruction designating time and a scan-in address is issued from a test program on the GUEST space 1-2 of a virtual computer system to a HOST space 1-1, and it is requested to the service processor (SVP) 2. It rewrites the content of the scan-in address which is designated after time designated by SVP 2 elapses, and the test program on the GUEST space 1-2 executes the rewritten part, generates a machine check interruption and the normality of the machine check device is recognized. Thus, restriction on the program which has no execute the appropriate instruction within prescribed time is eliminated and the normality of the machine check device is easily recognized on the virtual space. |
