PURPOSE: To provide a heating device which can effectively and accurately maintain and control a prescribed steady temperature for a relatively long time by providing a heat conductive chamber housing a material which can cause a phase change at or near the prescribed steady temperature. CONSTITUTION: A heating device 40 has a heat conductive chamber 42 equipped with a heat conductive plate made of a metal, an alloy, a heat conductive polymer, a metal-doped polymer, an alloy-doped polymer, etc., and such a resistance thermometer 44 as platinum, etc., which is heated by a resistance heater and measures the surface temperature of the chamber 42. A material which causes a phase change at or near a prescribed temperature is contained in the void 46 of the chamber 42. A disposable cartridge for immunoassay containing a liquid glycated hemoglobin derivative (HbA1 C) sample is put in the chamber 42 and heated by bringing the cartridge into contact with the heat conductive plate.
