PROLONGED RELEASE MICROCAPSULES

摘要

Disclosed is a use of a microcapsule of LH-RH or analogue thereof for suppressing initial burst of LH-RH without adding a drug-retaining substance. The microcapsule is produced by preparing a water-in-oil emulsion comprising an inner aqueous layer containing about 20 to 70% (w/w) of LH-RH or analogue thereof and an oil layer containing a polymer having a lactic acid/glycolic acid ratio of 80/20 to 100/0, and then subjecting the water-in-oil emulsion to microencapsulation.
