PURPOSE:To attain the synthetic display of two-format color information consisting of dot data and a color code by converting color code information into the density data of three primary colors, converting the three-primary color dot information into density data having the same format as the density data of three primary colors and switchably displaying both the density data. CONSTITUTION:Since respective color data in the three-primary color dot information are binary data and the respective color data of the three-primary color density data are many-valued data, the formats of both the data are different. In order to unify the output format, the dot data are two-dimensionally developed to an nXn matrix kand the dot density is calculated by the nXn matrix size to obtain the many-valued output of the three primary colors. In the case of the color code, a color code dictionary (lookup table LUT) 12 is loaded from a work station to a color code memory 8 and a three-primary color many- valued output corresponding to the color code is obtained from the memory 8. Consequently, the image data of two formats unified to a single output format can be synthetically displayed on the same color display device 15. |
