PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of specially controlling and also to perform pre-transfer exposure to only a reached toner image by reflecting light emitted from a pre-transfer exposure means on a paper which is made to flow into a transfer means and making the light incident on a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:When the paper 6 which is fed again by a registration roller 8 reaches under the pre-transfer exposure lamp 16, the light of the lamp 16 is reflected on the upper surface of the paper 6 and made incident on the photosensitive drum 2 so that the charge of an electrostatic latent image on a part where the toner image is formed may be reduced. Then, the light from the lamp 16 is absorbed by the light absorbing and processing part on the leading end part 9b of a paper feeding path 9 when the paper 6 does not lie in the leading end part 9b of the paper feeding path 9 even in the case that the lamp 16 is always turned on, so that the photosensitive drum 2 is indirectly irradiated by the lamp 16 only in the case that the paper 6 is fed again. Thus, the fatigue and the deterioration of the photosensitive drum 2 is prevented and the deterioration of image quality, etc., is prevented. |
