PURPOSE:To prevent influence by the heat of a light source by providing a liquid crystal panel near the lens. CONSTITUTION:A light quantity detection part is mounted instead of a photosensitive body and a halftone original is set on an original platen. The respective cells of the liquid crystal panel 21 are all in an off-state. The light source is turned on and an original reflected light quantity is detected by a CCD array 27a to be inputted in a light distribution arithmetic operation part 32. The light distribution in the axial direction of a photosensitive body is arithmetically operated and inputted in a microcomputer 33 through an I/O 35. Based on the light distribution data, the computer 33 sets the on/off pattern of the respective cells of the liquid crystal panel 21 of a light distribution detection part 37 so as to make the distribution uniform, which is stored in a memory. In the case of forming an image by a copying machine, the on/off pattern is outputted to a driver 34 so as to control the panel 21. Thus, the influence by the heat generated in the light source is prevented and the panel is miniaturized. |
