PURPOSE:To facilitate the setting with small sized light weight constitution and to arrange left and right characteristics by forming an image of a regular image and mirror image by 2 sets of equivalent optical system to a solid-state image pickup element alternately and selecting the horizontal transfer direction. CONSTITUTION:The regular image and the mirror image by the right eye optical system comprising a right eye image pickup lens 13R and a right eye mirror 21R or the like and by the equivalent left eye optical system are formed onto a CCD 27 of a solid-state image pickup element alternately via a moving mirror unit 22 or the like. Simultaneously, the horizontal transfer direction of image forming information of the CCD 27 is switched via a CPU 11, a CCD driver 28 and a process circuit 29 and a stereoscopic video signal is outputted via an encoder circuit 30. Through the constitution above, the stereoscopic video camera with left and right characteristics ease of setting with small size and light weight is obtained. |
